Hello!
Thanks for stopping on my homepage.
Broadcasting has been my passion my entire life. I have a vivid memory of my mother and grandmother taking me to visit the local radio station when I was a pre-schooler. There was no question in anyone's mind that I would be involved in broadcasting.
I got my first 'paying job' at a radio station when I was 16 at KWAK-AM in my hometown of Stuttgart, Arkansas (the same station I visited years before). I was the obnoxious kid that worked weekends and wouldn't keep his hands off the equipment.
After graduating from high school, I worked for the legendary Buddy Deane at KOTN in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. I have photos!
Over the next several years, I would work at number of stations in the Midwest. Since 1983, the Ozarks have been my home. From 1991 to 2005, I worked for Galen Gilbert's Community Service Radio Group. We took KSWM-AM940 from being off-the-air to being successful once again. We also built KELE-FM (Mt. Vernon, MO), now KRVI-FM, KRWP-FM Stockton, MO, KQMO-FM Shell Knob, MO, and we took over and refurbished KBFL-FM in Buffalo, MO and KTRI-FM Mansfield, MO.
I also began doing contract engineering work during those years. My specialty was automation systems, and interfacing them to traffic and music systems. I have branched out since then, to full-service broadcast engineering.
I have been privileged to work with some of the best people in the world, broadcasters.
Have a look around, and thanks for stopping.
