This is the homepage of Art Morris, broadcast engineer and radio consultant.

I am the former manager of KSWM Radio in Aurora, Missouri for over 15 years.

I worked on the air for almost 35 years, most of that time doing morning news/talk programs, while also serving as station engineer. For the past 5 years, I’ve been doing exclusively technical work.

I have often joked that I’ve done every job there is in radio, except for play-by-play sports.

For the last several years, I’ve also operated the Missouri Radio Message Board, a discussion forum that gets up to 20,000  page views a month and is populated exclusively by radio professionals in this area.

I am also a long time on-air severe weather reporter, specializing in weather coverage for an audio-only environment.

In the past few years, I am also doing ABIP “mock” inspections of stations on behalf of the Missouri Broadcasters Association, and the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters.  I really enjoy getting meet my colleagues in broadcasting, and sharing experiences with them.
